Growing up in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia, Garrett’s love of nature and the environment was formed. But small town life left him with a strong sense that something was missing. He just had no idea what it was.
One day a friend sent him a website called High Existence, which exposed him to things like meditation, spirituality and personal growth. His world expanded rapidly with nothing but a laptop and internet access. He felt so much gratitude to these generous content creators providing so much value to him on the websites. At 16, Garrett decided he wanted to return the favor, and create content to inspire others who like himself, were searching for things they didn’t know existed.
It didn’t take Garrett long to discover how fast a message could spread on social media. He quickly aligned himself with positive impact businesses and causes, like Superhero Academy and Valhalla Movement, both founded by Marc Angelo Coppola. Together Marc and Garrett created content that reached and inspired over 200 million people in just a few years. They also grew the Superhero Academy Facebook page from 400 to 650,000 fans in that same span of time.
Garrett’s social media and content partnership strategies were noticed by industry legends, and soon he was working on projects with Aubrey Marcus, Mindvalley, Gary Vaynerchuk, Vayner Media, Flow Genome Project, and more. He also supported a regenerative soil project to sell close to half a million dollars in educational programs, practically unheard of in the eco space.
Together with Marc, Garrett put together the most prominent, and fun business mastermind for eco-conscious entrepreneurs. They’ve gathered together 100s of people in the past few years in Montreal & Costa Rica. Their events support eco villages like Punta Mona by bringing entrepreneurs there by boat, instead of the more convenient, easy choice of a close-by hotel. They also started the first camp at Envision Festival, helping the Festival grow each year by adding the group camping model to their revenue stream.
It was at the first Costa Rica mastermind that Garrett met Kylie, who had spent the past decade writing and sharing stories in the conscious marketing space. Her empathy driven marketing messages generated over 10 million dollars in revenue for clients like holistic dog food, womens coaching, numerology, astrology, spiritual publishing, and social media companies.
Garrett and Kylie had a pivotal 2 hour conversation standing in the Ocean while the other mastermind attendees were having a surf lesson. It was an instant connection and they knew they would work together one day. Kylie’s goal is to transform consciousness on the planet by helping 380,000,000 million people to share the truth of their story, which is the number required for critical mass and a tipping point for humanity! It was perfectly aligned with the greater mission of Impact Stories.
